Morningside of Fullerton, a continuing care retirement community that originally opened in 1991, announced that it has completed a $2 million expansion and renovation of its Lakeview Hall, lake and surrounding courtyard features. Morningside’s campus setting encompasses 34 acres and the renovation work on Lakeview Hall doubled the hall’s original size of 4,500 to approximately 9,000 square feet. The renovation of Lakeview Hall includes the facility’s Wellness center which includes the updated Oasis Spa and Fitness Center as well as serving as a community center for major events, theatrical productions, musical entertainment and dances, .
“We solicited a great deal of input in the beginning of this process to make sure the residents had a chance to express their opinions on the renovation,” said E. Justin Wilson, III, executive vice president of CoreCare III, the on-site Morningside partner. “For the past 19 years, Morningside has set the standard for retirement living. The renovation is the latest sign of our commitment to always lead the way when it comes to healthy, active aging. We look forward to our grand opening and to celebrating this exciting time for our great community.”
KTGY Group Inc. of Irvine, California, was the architect for the project, with INTERSPEC of San Diego providing interior design services. Culp Construction Co., based in Irvine, was the general contractor for the building expansion, with Cook & Solis Inc. of Escondido, serving as the contractor for the lake renovation.
