Maravilla Scottsdale Construction Contract Awarded to The Weitz Company

Maravilla Scottsdale has awarded The Weitz Company’s Southwest Division the contract for the next phase of construction for the luxury retirement community under development in North Scottsdale. Phase II of the development began on November 30th and will consist of 240,000 square feet of construction with site work, landscape, irrigation, construction will focus on Maravilla’s main lodge.  Maravilla Scottsdale will be the seventh community from Senior Resource Group when it opens late spring 2012.

The Mather Awarded Gold for Best CCRC and Amenities

The Mather, a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Evanston, Illinois, operated by Mather LifeWays,received two Gold Awards from the National Active Retirement Association (NARA).  NARA recognized The Mather as being among the best of the best in the 50-plus and senior housing industry with a Gold Award for Best Continuing Care Retirement Community and another for Best Amenities in a Retirement Community. The Mather is one of only two nominees that received two Gold Awards which were presented at the NARA annual conference in October 2010.

American Land Lease Launches New 55+ Brand

American Land Lease, Inc. recently announced a new brand for its 55+ living communities that will be known as Solstice Communities for its properties in Florida, Arizona and Illinois.  Solstice Communities was officially launched during December 2010 to separately market the 55+ communities owned and operated by American Land Lease. During 2011,  the new brand focused on marketing the company’s all-age communities will be launched to further distinguish the two types of community offerings within the American Land Lease portfolio.
