National HealthCare Corporation (NYSE Amex: NHC) has announced that it has purchased Macon Health Care Center, a 120-bed skilled health care center in Macon, Missouri, and Osage Beach Health Care Center, a 120-bed skilled health care center in Osage Beach, Missouri.  The facilities acquired have been under management by NHC since 1982.  As part of the announcement, NHC announced it has entered into an operating agreement to lease Springfield Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, a 120-bed skilled health care center located in Springfield, Missouri. The lease terms are for 10 years with options to extend the terms in five year increments.

“The quality of NHC’s services to the senior care community in the state of Missouri is well known,” Steve Flatt, NHC’s President said. “We have been a strong provider in the state for over 28 years. We now own, lease, or manage 15 operations in the state with over 1,900 beds.”
