More than 100 people from the greater Silver Spring area who have been helped by Renaissance Gardens at Riderwood’s rehabilitation services are expected to attend the campus’ first Rehab Reunion on Friday, December 10. This event, which will be held from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Renaissance Gardens, is intended to offer a chance for friendships to be renewed over the holiday season. A total of 92 % of residents who come for short-term rehab are able to return to their home in the community.
“There is no better time of the year for people to come together and reunite with the staff who helped to get them back home, and to see the friends that they have met,” said Sharon Flowers-Williams, Health Care Counselor. “At Riderwood we appreciate the opportunity to celebrate life, and there’s no better time than the holidays to commemorate a person’s well-earned progress in therapy.”
