How Much Did Seniors Matter in 2010 Mid Term Elections?

The senior vote surged back this election season as concerns over the economy and healthcare permeate the mood of seniors across the country.  According to CNN (at the time of this article), the senior vote represented 23% of all votes in the mid-term elections last night for the seats in the House of Representatives.  The most interest statistic they threw out was that of the seniors voting based upon their exit polls, 41% voted Democratic and 57% voted Republican.  The primary driver for the strong Republican vote was seniors’ concerns over healthcare and social security.
