Walnut Village, a full-service retirement community in the heart of Anaheim, California, recently celebrated its one-year anniversary. The community opened in October of 2009 and was recently named Best CCRC 2010 by 50+ Builder magazine and recently won a Citation of Merit Award from Environments for Aging and a 2009 Gold Award from the National Association of Home Builders’ 50+ Housing Council in the “Best Small Continuing Care Retirement Community On the Boards” category. Owned and operated by Front Prorch, a Southern California not-for-profit provider of senior living communities, the Walnut Village community is located on a walkable, 12-acre community.
“I’m embarrassed to tell my friends how spoiled I am here,” said resident Irene Patrick. “There’s plenty to do. It’s up to me.” Jim Kennedy, Anaheim’s former police chief, added, “The restaurant compares to any of the finest in Anaheim.”
