In honor of National Active Aging Week, September 20-26, 2010, Emeritus Senior Living, a national provider of assisted living and Alzheimer’s care and related dementia care services to seniors, announced today that it is holding a Facebook contest that encourages fans to share stories about the most active senior they know.
Emeritus’ "The Most Active Senior I Know" Facebook contest asks fans to nominate their friends and loved ones aged 65 and older by posting their comments and details about the nominee’s active lifestyle to the "Active Aging Week" tab on the Emeritus Senior Living Facebook page beginning September 10. One grand prize winner and his or her nominator will receive a gift package worth $200, a second place winner and their nominator will receive a $100 gift package. Winners will be announced via Facebook on September 28.
"Being active is critically important to maintaining physical health, but also to maintaining brain function. Emeritus encourages a Brain Health Lifestyle at all of our communities where residents are offered physical, mental, spiritual and social stimulation as well as proper nutrition," explained Jayne Sallerson, Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing at Emeritus Senior Living. "This contest will offer our Facebook community a place to share stories about seniors they know who can inspire all of us with their active lifestyles."
Emeritus’ Active Aging Week contest will run from September 10th – September 23rd.
