Construction Begins on Park Place Senior Living Community in Fort Wayne, Indiana

parkplacefortwaynePark Place Senior Living, a new senior living community in Fort Wayne, Indiana, recently announced that it’s developer, Leo Brown Group has closed on financing and has started construction on the new community.  The 20 acre community will have access to nearby hospitals and is expected to be completed in May 2011.  

The components of the new community include:

  • A 76-unit assisted living facility that will provide living options for seniors requiring assistance with the activities of daily living.

  • A 40-unit memory care wing will be attached to the assisted living facility and will specifically cater to seniors that are affected by Alzheimer’s or other forms of age associated memory impairment. 
  • 24 independent living units situated in attractive garden homes

In addition, Leo Brown Group recently sold acreage near the entrance to the Park Place campus where construction has started on a 130-bed skilled nursing facility that will include specialized wings dedicated to individuals that require short-term rehab therapy prior to returning to their home.  The skilled nursing facility will be run by an Indiana-based company that is one of the state’s largest operators of long term care facilities.
