Is Disney Dreaming About The Future of Florida Luxury Real Estate?

Think the luxury real estate market is dead?  Not for those who believe in fairy tales.  This week, Disney unveiled Golden Oak, a luxury residential resort community, with a collection of approximately 450 single family homes priced between $1.5 and $8 million.  Disney’s team has designed the 980 acre community to include the upcoming Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort and plans to offer residents access to select Four Seasons’ future amenities including the full service spa, restaurants, golf course and event space.

Initially, Golden Oak will consist of three types of single family homes that will inlucde Village Homes (Mediterranean Design), Estate Homes (Mixed Design) and Grand Estate Home for those with larger families and purchasers will be able to use one of Golden Oak’s select custom homebuilders to build the home.

"We have a range of options for Guests at all price points to enjoy the Walt Disney World Resort. But Golden Oak is something totally new: a residential resort community, right in the heart of the magic," said Matt Kelly, vice president, Disney Resort Real Estate Development.
