CareBot Trials Yield Improvements For Senior Care Mobile Service Robotics

It’s not like the movie “I, Robot” yet, but watching the video below you can see that this is the future.  GeckoSystems Intl. Corp. (PINKSHEETS: GCKO) recently announced that it has upgraded and improved its personal assistant robot, the CareBot™ as a result of their ongoing world’s first in home elder care robot evaluation trials. The new GeckoScheduler™ enables the primary caregiver to more easily set the date, time and frequency of medication reminders, TV show reminders, repetition of family anecdotes, and other messaging options.  The company develops solutions for the emerging Mobile Service Robot (MSR) industry through their model that focuses on safety, security, and Service.  Below is a video showing the CarBot following a senior through her home:

"We continue to look forward to further exploration and understanding of the social interaction between the family, CareBot, and care receiver in the coming weeks and months of these in home assistive care robot trials. With our in home personal assistant robot trials progressing nicely, we have already learned a great deal as to the reality of beneficial social interaction between human and robot in domestic settings. There seems to be a very important positive –and unforeseen by some parties– impact of valued family behaviors for all members in using a CareBot to communicate their thoughts and feelings to their beloved family members," commented Martin Spencer, President/CEO, GeckoSystems.
