Cirrus Group and its joint development partner McFarlin Group have announced the recent ground breaking on a new senior assisted living and Alzheimer’s community in McKinney, Texas for people needing living assistance and those living with the challenges of Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia. The $14 million community named Orchard Park of McKinney is anticipated to open in early 2011 and will offer 67 apartment-style assisted living residences and 30 memory care residences. Once complete, Good Neighbor Care will provide management of daily operations for the facility.
“We are honored to be expanding services to seniors in McKinney and Collin County,” said Jason Dodd, President of The Cirrus Group. “This new offering at Orchard Park of McKinney builds upon our mission of ‘creating home’ for the residents we serve and providing services and settings that empower people to live fully even when they are living with substantial challenges, such as Alzheimer’s.”
Orchard Park of McKinney is not your typical assisted living community. “We have included full kitchens and laundry machines in each assisted living residence so our residents, and their families, can enjoy conveniences similar to what they have in their current home. We are unlike anything currently available to seniors in the Dallas-area today,” said Matt Johnson, Principal of McFarlin Group.
