Emley Named Resident Lifestyle Director at Watercrest at Bryan
Watercrest at Bryan has named Judy Emley lifestyle director. The announcement was made by Rick Simmons, president and CEO, Integrated Real Estate Group, developer of Watercrest at Bryan.
Emley brings more than six years of experience as a senior living activities director to her new position at Watercrest. She is responsible for planning and implementing a full calendar of programs, events, activities, and outings for the residents of the active adult community.
NHI Hires Vice President of Asset Management
National Health Investors, Inc. (NYSE:NHI) announced the appointment of Kevin Pascoe as Vice President of Asset Management. Mr. Pascoe will be responsible for lease and loan covenant compliance in addition to general asset management of the company’s portfolio. Mr. Pascoe previously served as a Vice President and Relationship Manager for GE Healthcare Financial Services where he spent four years. Prior to joining GE, he was previously employed by NHI as a credit analyst. Mr. Pascoe received his B.B.A. in Economics and MBA from Middle Tennessee State University.

AgeTek Announces Bud Myers as CEO
The Aging Technology Alliance recently announced the appointment of its first chief executive officer, Bud Myers. For years, Mr. Myers served as Sr. Director of Merchandising at boomer-focused catalog and online retailer FirstSTREET and is a well-known expert in the baby-boomer and consumer electronics markets.

Chef Johnathan Metellus began his career in the military as a food specialist and has worked in Panama, Honduras, Antigua and throughout the United States. While on duty in Germany, he was given the opportunity to attend a culinary workshop and was awarded a notable mention ribbon in a culinary competition, which further sparked his interest in a career in the culinary arts.
After a break from the military, Chef Metellus attended the acclaimed Culinary Institute of America where he received a bachelor’s degree in culinary arts management. His extensive career includes apprenticeship at Hotel Pulitzer and Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza, Amsterdam, Netherlands; sous chef at the Seelbach Hotel, Louisville, Kentucky and Sheraton Hotel, New York; and executive chef at Howard University, Washington, DC, and Marriott services at prestigious locations throughout the United States. While working as a culinary arts instructor for educational and private organizations in New York City, Chef Melletus was offered an opportunity to be a managing partner in a restaurant venture in Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey where he received “best new & favorite restaurant” in Sussex County. He also received the distinction of Certified Executive Chef from the American Culinary Federation and Certified Food Service Management Professional from The National Restaurant Educational Foundation.

Jeffrey Lucas has joined Rose Commercial Real Estate as Director of Business Development. For the past ten years, Jeff has focused on the redevelopment of the Route 130 Corridor in Burlington County. Jeff was an active member of the Executive Board of the Camden County WIB (Workforce Investment Board) for 8 years. Jeff grew up in Southern New Jersey, attending Haddonfield High School and Rutgers College.
Gentiva Makes Management Changes for CFO and General Counsel
Gentiva Health Services, Inc. (Nasdaq: GTIV), a leading provider of home health and hospice services, announced that effective with the close of the Company’s 2010 Annual Meeting of Shareholders its Board of Directors has appointed Eric R. Slusser to succeed John R. Potapchuk as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer and John N. Camperlengo to succeed Stephen B. Paige as the Company’s General Counsel. Messrs. Potapchuk and Paige will remain with Gentiva as Special Advisors to the Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel, respectively. These appointments complete the Company’s planned management succession to its Atlanta corporate headquarters.
Mr. Slusser has served as Senior Vice President of Finance for Gentiva since October 2009. He brings more than 25 years of diverse financial and operational experience to the Company, having worked in management roles at large companies including Centene Corporation, where he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer; Cardinal Health Inc.; Sprint PCS Group; and MCI Inc. In addition, Mr. Slusser worked in the audit division of Arthur Andersen, supporting clients from a range of industries on projects that included merger and acquisitions and business consulting. He earned a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Missouri and has been licensed as a Certified Public Accountant since 1983.
Mr. Camperlengo was named general counsel and secretary in May 2010. He became chief compliance officer and deputy general counsel in 2005, and has been a senior vice president of the Company since 2008. Mr. Camperlengo joined Gentiva in 2000 as senior counsel and held a number of increasingly important legal positions over the years. From November 2007 to May 2008, he served as vice president and chief compliance officer of Duane Reade Holdings, Inc., a retail pharmacy chain, and from 1992 to 2000, he held various legal and compliance positions with The Prudential Insurance Company of America and its subsidiaries. He holds a bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University and a law degree from Seton Hall University. Mr. Camperlengo is a retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves.
