Vigilan, provider of software for senior living, announced last week that its Care Suite software for assisted living, independent living and dementia care communities is now compatible with the new Apple iPad(TM). Vigilan’s CARE suite includes a complete technology package to manage resident care, communication, staffing, marketing, medication management, billing, training and education tracking, and interfaces to the most popular accounting systems. The compatibility with the iPad will allow nurses, administrators and owners to carry the application system to the point of care to balance resident care requirements, staff competency, resource management, state compliance and resident satisfaction. Vigilan for iPad can be used by nursing staff to conduct pre-move-in assessments, by marketing staff while they are prospecting for new residents, and by managers who want to see a complete view of their communities at any point in time.

Additionally, Curotek’s nurse call integration to care management kiosks, sensor systems for preventing falls and elopement and document management, has enabled its task application that pulls information from the Vigilan service plan and creates a task list for care providers. Using the iPad, this combined solution closes the loop on the service plan, eliminates additional data entry and provides an accurate, up-to-date record of services provided to residents for nursing staff, administrators and families.
Vigilan Care Suite for iPad is available now at no additional charge for Vigilan customers and is only available for customers who have a license for the Vigilan Care Suite application.
