Horst Construction announced its 9th annual senior living conference entitled "The New Normal: Navigating Today’s Dynamic Senior Environment" that will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2010, at the Lancaster Country Club in Lancaster, PA. The conference will offer learning and networking opportunities for senior living leaders and executives in the mid-Atlantic region.
The Keynote speaker this year is Jim Moore, President of Moore Diversified Services, a leading national consultant to the senior housing and health care industries. Moore will discuss "Strategies for Moving Forward in an Uncertain Environment," reviewing changes to senior care management in the last twelve months and tactics for creating a positive future. Moore is the author of numerous books for the senior living industry, the latest of which is titled, "Independent Living and CCRCs: Survival, Success & Profitability Strategies for Not-for-Profit Sponsors and For-Profit Owners/Operators."
Other featured presenters include:
- Steven Jeffrey, Director of Ziegler Capital Markets, will provide a financial update on senior living financing in the Northeast U.S. and beyond.
- Tom Anderson, Corporate Manager, August Mack Environmental, a national engineering firm focusing on energy and environmental issues, will provide a brief presentation, "Low Hanging Fruit for Energy and Environmental Change in Senior Care Communities."
