Jarlette Health Services recently announced the company’s newest development Leacock Retirement Lodge to be situated on the neighboring property of the existing Leacock Care Centre.  Construction of the new lodge is expected to begin in the Spring of 2010 and be completed within 18 months.  Leacock Retirement Lodge will be a four story building with 110 suites, including self contained apartments, studios, 1 Bedroom suites and 1 Bedroom + Den suites.  Jarlette, which has been operating as a family-run business since it began in 1970, operates 17 long-term care facilities.
