Last month, Arizona Baptist Retirement Centers (ABRC) unveiled its new GREEN HOUSE® assisted living homes at Baptist Village in Northeast Phoenix. Arizona Baptist Retirement Centers brought the concept to the Valley in 2007 when the Green House assisted living homes opened at Baptist Village in Youngtown. Each of the three assisted living residences now available on the Northeast Campus is home to ten residents who live in private suites surrounded by full-service amenities, including a large family room, kitchen and dining room where residents enjoy a variety of social activities. The new Green House homes complement the existing community of 77 single-level garden homes at Baptist Village.
"Too many times, people think of assisted living communities as institutional, sterile facilities with little to recommend them as a place to live life fully," said Donna Taylor, Executive Vice President of Arizona Baptist Retirement Centers. "The Green House concept is totally different – it’s all about nurturing, protecting and sustaining life while preserving elder choice.
