The Seasons at Maplewood, a $30 million dollar, 150-unit senior living community, recently began construction that will provide a new community that will offer a range of rental housing and supportive services for seniors, including independent living apartments with services, assisted living, and specialized memory care and care suites programmed to support individuals requiring 24 hour services. Comprising more than 130,000 square feet on four levels, The Seasons at Maplewood will offer contemporary retirement living in 120 independent living residences, including one and two-bedroom units, ranging from 680 to 1,100 square feet and is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2010. The 120 independent residences will feature kitchens designed specifically to meet the needs of seniors, large storage areas, private balconies, washers and dryers and more. The community will also offer 30 studio and one-bedroom units for seniors requiring 24-hour specialty care and Memory Care services.
“Our objective is to provide an exceptional continuum of care community within the East Metro marketplace,” said Dena Meyer, Project Manager. “We know that being part of an existing dynamic neighborhood like this is extremely important to seniors and their families as they consider their housing choices”, she said. “As residents age in place, they can have peace of mind knowing they can continue living at The Seasons, which they have come to call “home”, she concluded.
“I am proud to have assembled such an outstanding team of professionals to help create this unique senior housing community”, said Michael Pint, owner/developer. Key development team members include Frana Companies, General contractor: Kaas Wilson, Architect; BDH and Young, space planning/design; and Nichols Financial who provided the HUD insured Construction and Permanent Financing.
