FreemanWhite, an architectural, engineering, interior design and consulting services firm for healthcare organizations worldwide, recently announced the completion of a revitalization construction project for Southminster , a Charlotte, North Carolina continuing care retirement community (CCRC).  FreemanWhite added 89 Independent Living units, a wellness center and renovated all the public common areas, the health center and all the existing corridors of the eight-story project.  The construction creates 300,000 square feet of new space and renovates 100,000 square feet of existing space at a total cost of $65 million. Southminster is a nonprofit, accredited continuing care retirement community founded by two local churches.

“FreemanWhite is excited to provide these additions and renovations to Southminster’s campus,” said David Segmiller.  “These facility upgrades make Southminster competitive and will solidify its stake in the future as younger residents begin to look for assistance in the next stages of their lives.”
