National Assisted Living Week Kicks Off

nalw National Assisted Living Week® (NALW) is taking place September 13-19, 2009 and more than 38,000 assisted living communities nationwide will be celebrating this year’s theme “Traditions of the Heart.”  Many companies are announcing their support in conjunction with events at their facilities throughout the country.  The National Center for Assisted Living established NALW in 1995 to provide a unique opportunity to bring together residents, families, employees, volunteers, and the surrounding community to celebrate residents and the services provided by the caring staff within assisted living communities.

“Celebrating National Assisted Living Week is just one way we can honor residents and thank our communities. Our staff at each location takes great pride in planning and hosting events where the residents, their families and the community feel welcome and can come together,” said Cynthia Gartman, president and COO of Country Place Living.
