Upcoming CAHSA Seminar To Provide Strategies For Colorado Senior Living Providers

The Colorado Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (CAHSA) will present “Strategies to Succeed in Today’s Economy” on Thursday, Sept. 10, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Shalom Park, 14800 E. Belleview Drive, in Aurora. Senior living professionals will learn strategies for succeeding in today’s tough economic times while planning for the needs and demands of tomorrow’s seniors. The event is open to anyone interested in attending and membership in CAHSA is not required.  Registration is $99 for CAHSA members, $199 for non-members.

Panel topics for this event will include:

  • “Top 10 New Realities in the Senior Housing and Care Profession,” presented by Keith Seeloff, CPA, and Meredith Benedict, Manager, of Dixon Hughes
  • “Achieving Critical Operational Improvements While Maintaining Your Mission—A Case Study,” presented by Mike Slavik, Principal, and Angela Larson, Manager, of LarsonAllen
  • “From Wall Street to Main Street—Senior Housing in Uncertain Times,” presented by Todd Andrews, Vice President of Operations, of Sodexo Senior Services
  • “Transforming Retirement Communities for the Next Generation,” presented by Jared Flayer, Regional Vice President, and Jim McDonald, Regional Director of Operations, of Morrison Senior Dining

“Arming senior living professionals with information and strategies to weather the economic downturn and manage their resources in spite of the recession, while improving the care and services they provide to the elderly are top priorities for us,” said Laura Landwirth, executive director of CAHSA.
