Riverwood by Del Webb at Nocatee Announces Major Expansion Plans

Del Webb, the active adult brand of Pulte Homes, one of the nation’s largest homebuilders, has announced plans for the expansion of Riverwood by Del Webb at Nocatee in Ponte Vedra. The new Riverwood by Del Webb will more than double in size to 1,015 acres and 1,988 homes with a nearly 38,000-square-foot amenity center, up from the previously planned 829 homes on 439 acres.  The larger community footprint and expanded amenities at Riverwood reflects Del Webb’s commitment to the retirement lifestyle in Florida.  The new Resident’s Club at Riverwood will feature many of the resort-style amenities Del Webb communities is expected to startconstruction in May 2010 with a grand opening of April 2011.

The project is located in the award-winning master-planned community of Nocatee, the gated community of Riverwood by Del Webb is conveniently located within minutes of the ocean and near dining, shopping and recreation. The community adjoins the beautiful Nocatee Preserve with more than 2,400 acres of natural beauty set along the Intracoastal Waterway. Riverwood residents will also enjoy Nocatee’s vibrant town center, community parks, paths and the Nocatee Water Park, which will be the largest aquatics center in Northeast Florida.
