WellAWARE Systems, a developer of next-generation wellness monitoring solutions for senior care providers, recently announced its partnership with National Church Residences (NCR). NCR is the nation’s largest not-for-profit developer and manager of affordable senior housing, with five assisted living and/or skilled nursing facilities, two continuing care retirement communities (CCRC), and more than 300 senior living communities across the nation. The partnership has been initiated with the deployment of WellAWARE Systems’ technology in three of NCR’s 320+ facilities. The WellAWARE solution is being implemented to provide meaningful wellness trending and behavioral data to NCR caregivers regarding their residents. By outfitting senior residences with the WellAWARE monitoring solution, NCR caregivers can easily review the overall status of individuals in their care via the secure WellAWARE Web site, thereby enabling caregivers to proactively identify and address existing or developing health conditions, as well as emergent situations such as disabling falls.

The effective use of WellAWARE has repeatedly demonstrated improvement in quality of care while at the same time reducing overall cost of care. The first three NCR facilities involved in the WellAWARE Systems partnership are located in Ohio, specifically, Traditions of Chilicothe, Traditions at Mill Run and Heritage Day Healthcenter.
