Sun Healthcare Group, Inc. ("Sun") (NasdaqGS:SUNH) is participating and presenting at the Jefferies Healthcare Conference this week and released a copy of its presentation for the general public. The presentation gives investors an overview of its current business operations and presents some financial information from its first quarter 2009 operations. The company reports that it has a total of 207 inpatient facilities in 25 states including 184 skilled nursing facilities, 15 assisted/independent living facilities and 8 mental health facilities. While the overall economy has been down, Sun is seeing some improving inpatient metrics according to data in the presentation comparing the 4th quarter of 2008 to the first quarter of 2009 such as revenue per patient and occupancy levels.
