Walnut Village Receives Gold Award From National Association of Home Builders 50+ Housing Council

walnutvillage Walnut Village, a new retirement community under construction in Anaheim being developed by Burbank-based Front Porch, received top honors at the 2009 National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) 50+ Housing Council held during the Building for Boomers and Beyond Symposium.  The awards program recognizes excellence and innovation in the design, development and marketing of housing for the mature market.  Walnut Village received Gold in the "Best Small (up to 200 units) Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) On the Boards" category.

The facility, scheduled to open this fall, will be a full service retirement community with continuing levels of care that provide multiple options for residents dependent upon their individual needs offering expansive options such as in-home assisted living service, a memory support neighborhood and an award-winning skilled nursing care center.  Walnut Village, a Front Porch Community, is being developed by Front Porch Development Company, the real estate development partner of Front Porch, California’s largest nonprofit provider of senior living communities.
