Skilled Healthcare Group, Inc. (NYSE:SKH) announced yesterday that its new, state-of-the-art facility, The Dallas Center of Rehabilitation, has opened and is currently accepting patients. Located near the Baylor University Medical Center, the 62,000 square foot, 136-bed skilled nursing facility includes an Express Recovery Unit™, 4,000 square foot rehabilitation gym, 24-hour licensed professional nursing care in addition to physical, occupational, and speech therapy, wound care, pain management and IV therapy. The Center also offers respite and hospice services. On-site amenities include a chapel, library, beauty/barber shop, internet café, flat screen color televisions and private dining for family celebrations. In addition, the Company expects to create approximately 150 new jobs in the Dallas area with the opening of this new facility.
