Senior Housing Development Opportunity: Golf Courses For Alzheimer’s Treatment?

Golf season is starting to get into full swing with the Masters this weekend (pun intended) and the Wall Street Journal ran a good story on behavior therapy at Silverado Senior Living home in Belmont, California. 

The story, “Memories Slip, but Golf Is Forever”, talks about the use of golf or other activities such as dancing or playing music to generate moments of lucidity.  The article states the golf course is about 20 miles away from Silverado which is quite a ways away for transportation purposes.  Is there opportunity for dementia care development around some golf courses that maybe looking for buyers in the rough economy we’re in?
