Several former executives of Sunrise Senior Living’s development team have announced that they have launched Davos Development Senior Living Group LLC to pursue senior living development and re-positioning opportunities for various senior housing developments throughout North America. Sunrise last fall announced layoffs and restructurings in its development division but the Davos team feels there are opportunities for their collective services in the senior housing industry. The company plans on providing consulting services that focus strategy, valuation, site selection, development, construction, capitalization, acquisition/ disposition, re-positioning and asset management services to investors, property owners and operators. The group consists of former regional development executives of Sunrise for the Northwest, Southwest, and Central territories and the North American business unit leaders for product development / market strategy and construction. Davos plans to leverage their deep experience and contacts across a broad range of senior property types to pursue opportunities in virtually every segment of the senior living industry including assisted living, stand-alone Alzheimer/dementia care, independent living, continuing care retirement communities (and other full service senior communities), and age-restricted multi-family communities (including affordable senior apartments).
