Senior Quality Lifestyles Corporation (SQLC), owner of upscale not-for-profit retirement communities throughout Texas, has announced the project team for Mirador, Corpus Christi’s first and only life care retirement community. The Mirador will be an all-inclusive community featuring 110 independent living apartment homes and 40 private assisted living suites, 40 private rooms for dignified nursing care, and 16 private residences for memory support. The South Texas retirement community will adopt energy efficient programs with the assistance of Andres Construction—a LEED Accredited Professional and general contractor of Mirador—that will employ techniques such as reclamation of grey water irrigation and utilization of natural light. Bridget Bohacz + associates, inc., will design the 25,000 square feet of inviting commons areas, as well as resort-style amenities and services.
Designed by architectural firm three and developed by Greystone Communities, Mirador will be located on a lush 13-acre campus landscaped and designed by Gignac Landscape Architectureto complement the surrounding neighborhood. The Mirador project team also includes: Urban Engineering (civil engineer); Goodson Engineers (structural engineer); Basharkah Engineering (MEP engineer); Daniel Brown Consulting, LLC(kitchen/consultant); and INSPEC (spec writer).
