Mayford Grange, a new age restricted retirement village in Surrey, announced its grand opening last month and have received strong interest from United Kingdom residents. Mayford Grange is part of the Retirement Villages company that operates over a dozen senior living facilities in the United Kingdom (UK). The village will comprise 46 private apartments grouped around landscaped courtyards with connected walkways leading to the heart of the village and the Country Club. Communal facilities will include a restaurant, coffee shop, lounge and garden room, library and computer area, function room, hair salon and convenience shop.
Building work on phase one on the four acre site adjacent to Sutton Green Golf Course in the village of Mayford, outside Woking, is under way and it is expected that units will begin being finished in late spring 2009. A number of properties have been released for sale with prices starting at £280,000 for a two bedroom, second floor apartment with master bedroom, en suite and built in wardrobe. Smaller one bed room units are expected to be completed in fall 2009.
“We are delighted with the level of interest at Mayford Grange,” said Sales and Marketing Director Sarah Burgess. “We are very excited about the development which represents a new concept in retirement living.
”From a business point of view Retirement Villages is working closely with a number of local suppliers. It is important for us as a company to be involved in and with the local community to build an on-going, long term relationship with groups, businesses and individuals.”
