NewCourtland recently announced its plans to transfer ownership of five of its seven nursing homes to AristaCare Health Services. The transaction will allow NewCourtland to better focus on expanding independent living options and community based programs for seniors. AristaCare will take over operations of Care Pavilion, Cheltenham York Road, Cliveden, Maplewood Manor and Tucker House and NewCourtland will continue to retain its Germantown Home and Kearsley Retirement Community. The new owner/manager of the nursing homes, AristaCare, has a strong track record of innovation, quality, and sensitivity to residents’ needs at its nursing homes in New Jersey and Pennsylvania according to the CEO of NewCourtland.
"This is the logical next step in the evolution of NewCourtland and the organizations that preceded it — from the original hospital, to nursing-home care, to broader community-based services and expanded living options," said Gail Kass, President and CEO of NewCourtland. "The needs of seniors are changing, and this transaction will help us focus on meeting those needs while we also maintain our commitment to traditional nursing home care."
