High Acres Receives State Approval For Senior Living Development In New York

High Acres at Seneca Lake recently received approval for its Offering Plan from New York State to develop a new senior living retirement community in Geneva, New York. Construction of High Acres, sponsored by FLH Senior Communities, Inc., a member of Finger Lakes Health, is scheduled to begin early next year.  High Acres plans to offer a renewed approach to retirement living by providing a quality independent lifestyle with abundant amenities; gracious services; and enriching social, cultural and educational opportunities. The apartments and carriage homes, composed of 92 independent living residences and 41 assisted living residences, will have maintenance provided, as well as floor plans tailored to future residents’ unique preferences. The overall design will complement the rich historic tradition of Geneva, offering a small-town atmosphere and tree-lined streets. The community, which will be located near the scenic shores of Seneca Lake, will include dining services, scheduled transportation and 24-hour security. In addition, all residents will receive access to additional care, if needed, through Finger Lakes Health, a provider of regional health and long-term care services, as well as rehabilitation and transitional care services.

“With our recent approval, we may now begin accepting deposits from those who have expressed interest in High Acres, a maintenance-free community that will offer independent living with access to on-site assisted living, said Lisa Ventura-Stanton, marketing director at High Acres at Seneca Lake. “High Acres will provide an active, healthy, independent living option for seniors in a community they know and love, planned specifically to meet their ever-changing needs. Although many people may know us through our relationships and community involvement, we look forward to sharing more about this very progressive new retirement option.”
