For those entrepreneurs that are looking for a small entry point into providing senior housing services, one route may be looking at taking a struggling or closed bed and breakfast and turning it into a small senior living facility. This type of facility may work well in high-density population areas where seniors are wishing to remain close to friends and family but lacks the scope and scale that many experienced senior housing developers are seeking. While people can be commended for creating new jobs and using existing buildings and facilities where available, these type of plans don’t provide an easy exit strategy for the business owners based upon the small scale operation.
