Since the start of the year, many developers from other industries have asked Senior Housing News to provide some information on developing senior housing and more specifically finding financing and funding for proposed senior housing projects. Many of these requests have been from residential / single family developers that have found their access to construction financing cut off as well as their end financing. Mistakenly, they though things were different in the senior housing finance industry. While the state of senior housing finance might not be as dire as the broader economy, it certainly isn’t a walk in the park.
