Las Vegas City Council Allocates $6 Million In Funds For Affordable Senior Housing

The Las Vegas City Council recently approved nearly $6 million in federal and state funds for the development of 108 affordable housing units at four different projects. The city of Las Vegas Neighborhood Services Department will oversee the city’s allocation of funding for these affordable housing projects.

  • Westcliff Pines Senior Apartments – $1.5 million – Phase II of the Silver Sky Assisted Living Facility, located at 8203 and 8238 Silver Sky Drive, includes new construction of an affordable rental apartment building containing 40 one and two-bedroom units, specifically designed for low-income, independent senior citizens.
  • H Street and Monroe Senior Apartments – $2 million – Located at 1320 H St., the project includes new construction of 39 one and two-bedroom apartment units for low-income seniors.
  • I Street and Monroe Senior Apartments – $2.2 million – Located at 908 W. Monroe Ave., the project includes new construction of 20 one-bedroom apartment units for low-income seniors.
