Erickson Retirement Communities, which has been facing tough choices and laying off workers, was named to Fortune Magazine’s 2009 Best Companies to Work For at #54. The list provides brief profiles of companies and what makes their companies stand out amongst its peers. Erickson, who was rated 93rd in 2008, was cited as a good employer for providing temporary housing for its workers affected by Hurricance Ike in its own facilities and that it matched employee contributions for a relief fund.
