Boomers To Blame For Current Housing Crisis?

As Boomers send their children out into the working world and begin to slow down and sell their homes, will their desire to down-size and become more mobile put more pressure on the housing market?  Boomers are adding homes to the housing supply and these homes typically are well out of the price range of younger generations to afford.  To get through to the next housing boom will take at least another 10 years until the "Millennial Generation" enters adulthood and starts saving and earning enough money to purchase some of the larger homes left vacant by aging boomers.  Boomers will need to exit their hunkering down mentality and start spending again or else we’ll need to wait until Boomer’s children start getting real jobs.
