Dupage county in northern Illinois is using $1.3 million in federal housing grants to help finance the $19 million dollar Alden Gardens facility in Bloomingdale, Illinios. The Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) is issuing $8.2 million in bonds to assist the project. The project is the second in cook county to set aside medicaid eligible facilities for assisted living. The project is expected to begin the initial construction phase in the fall of 2008
