Vi at Silverstone Readies For September Opening

Vi at Silverstone recently announced that it is in final preparations for its official grand opening in early September for its 33 acre development located in North Scottsdale, Arizona.  The project was developed through a partnership between Vi and Plaza Companies and incorporates the desert landscape and modern amenities in the new retirement community.

MBK Senior Living Closes on Firs Retirement Community in Washington State

MBK Senior Living recently announced the purchase of The Firs retirement community in Olympia, Washington. The Firs, MBK’s third senior living community in Washington state, is comprised of 135 studio, one- and two- bedroom independent living apartments.  The community offers month-to-month rental agreements and has staff on-hand 24-hours a day.

Senate Banking Committee Passes Livable Communities Act

The Senate Banking Committee recently voted to approve the Livable Communities Act, a proposal to create more sustainable and energy-efficient communities. The bill, sponsored by Chairman Christopher Dodd, provides a series of planning and project implementation grants for communities to help plan and coordinate initiatives to develop affordable housing and public transit solutions.

HUD Alleges Fair Housing Violation At Denver Condo Project Advertised As 50+
