Caddis Plans Senior Housing Community Near Atlanta
Health care real estate firm Caddis is moving forward with its plan to build an independent, assisted living and memory care community in Suwanee, Georgia.
The community, Heartis Suwanee, would include 175 units and amenities such as walking paths, game and activity rooms, and a beauty and barber shop.
Caddis expects to open the community in November 2018.
Assisted Living and Memory Care Community to Open in South Carolina
Alex Brown Realty, Wakefield Capital and Affinity Living Group are collaborating on new senior housing in Charleston, South Carolina, according to a press release.
The community, Indigo Hall, is scheduled to open in June 2018 with 116 assisted living and 40 memory care units.
Planned Long Island CCRC Gets Go-Ahead from New York
Fountaingate Gardens, a proposed continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in the Long Island community of Commack, New York, has moved closer to opening.
The community on June 22 received approval from the New York State Department of Health to begin accepting reservations, according to a press release. Construction is set to start once the community is about three quarters full.

Workers Break Ground on Assisted Living and Memory Care Community Near Orlando
Construction crews with Williams Company Southeast broke ground on the new $17.5 million Sage Park Assisted Living and Memory Care community in Kissimmee, Florida.
Watercrest Senior Living Group will manage the property, a press release notes.
The 128-unit community is slated for completion in August 2018.
Construction Underway at Northbridge Community in Massachusetts
Northbridge Companies and Callahan Construction Managers have announced the groundbreaking of a new senior living property in Mashpee, Massachusetts.
The property, Laurentide at Mashpee Commons, will have 70 independent living, assisted living and memory care apartments and is due to open next summer, a press release reads.
Amenities at Laurentide will include a “gracious” dining room, pub and lounge, library, landscaped walking paths and a sunroom.
Koelsch Communities Building Memory Care Community in Washington
Senior housing operator Koelsch Communities broke ground on a $24 million dedicated memory care community in Kirkland, Washington, according to a press release.
Jefferson House Memory Care Community will house 80 residents and include a themed main street, a beauty and barber shop, interior courtyards with water features and raised planting gardens within a secured environment, the company noted.
Jefferson House is slated to open in the winter of 2018.

Five Star Completes Renovation at Community Near Chicago
Five Star Senior Living (Nasdaq: FVE) announced the completion of renovations at its Church Creek Senior Living community in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
The renovations give the community a “more modern look and an enhanced resident experience with numerous upgrades to existing spaces, the addition of new common areas, as well as additional amenities including a pub, cyber cafe and movie theater,” a press release reads.
Five Star will officially unveil the completed work on July 20.
