Dominion Senior Living to Open Third Kentucky Community

Dominion Senior Living of Florence has plans to open a new faith-based senior living community in Florence, Kentucky, its third in the state.

The two-story community is expected to cost about $10.3 million and will offer assisted living and memory care services in 61 apartments.

“The unique individualized approach will give residents a true sense of purpose in a loving environment that meets their spiritual, emotional and physical needs,” a press release about the planned community reads.

Dominion Senior Living currently has communities open or under construction in Athens, Bristol, Crossville, Johnson City, Hixson and Sevierville, Tennessee; Anderson, South Carolina; as well as communities under construction in Frankfort and Richmond, Kentucky.*

Aldersgate Poised to Break Ground on $70M Expansion in Charlotte

A senior living community in North Carolina is about to grow even larger.

Aldersgate is scheduled to begin construction on its fourth and final expansion at its retirement community on Charlotte’s east side. The additions are part of a massive expansion project dubbed “The Gateway Promise” that is aimed at enhancing the 231-acre campus.

The final construction phase, which begins on May 5, will bring 62 new apartments and villas that range from 851 to 1,475 square feet. The apartments and villas will likely be complete in the fall of 2018, according to a press release.

Entrance fees for residents begin in the lower $200,000s.

$20M Senior Living Community Planned in Milwaukee

Three Holy Women Parish and Tarantino & Co. are collaborating to build a new senior living community and church in Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Business Journal reports.

The senior living part of the project will include independent living, assisted living and memory care units, along with other amenities like concierge services and street-level retail space. The six-story community will be operated by Tarantino & Company’s Capri Senior Communities, according to the Business Journal.

Retirement Community Plots Big Upgrade in Ohio

Bethany Lutheran Village, a retirement community with assisted living, skilled nursing, dementia care and rehabilitation services near Dayton, Ohio, is planning a $42 million repositioning.

The community seeks to rebuild an assisted living wing at its center and expand it to include 74 new units, My Dayton Daily News reports.

The renovation project could begin as early as this June and wrap up in late 2018, it was reported.

Allegro Senior Living Grows Presence in South Florida

St. Louis-based Allegro Senior Living is expanding its presence in south Florida.

The company recently purchased eight acres of land to build a new independent living, assisted living and memory care community with 175 units in Parkland, Florida.

If all goes according to plan, construction would start this fall, and the community would open in early 2019. The Parkland community will have a “similar luxury design known of Allegro communities throughout Florida. Architectural design will be provided by Meyer Design, Inc. out of Ardmore, Pennsylvania,” the company said in a press release.

Emerald Communities Plots 42-Unit Expansion Near Seattle

Nonprofit senior housing operator Emerald Communities plans to expand its retirement community in Redmond, Washington, with a new neighborhood named The Courtyard.

The Courtyard will add 42 new units to the community, and workers are due to break ground on the project in the middle of next year.

Two Communities From Stonecrest Senior Living Underway

Two new communities from Stonecrest Senior Living are due to open in the Detroit metro area later this year. The forthcoming communities are located in Troy and Rochester Hills, Michigan, the Oakland Press reports.

In Troy, Stonecrest’s community will come with “stylish” studio, one-bedroom, and two bedroom assisted living apartments and memory care suites. Residents will have access to amenities such as outdoor spaces, a bistro, a theater, a fitness center, and activities and outings for residents.

At the Rochester Hills community, which Integral Senior Living will manage, residents will live in assisted living and memory care apartments.

The communities are due to open in June and the fall, respectively.

Work at Welbrook Senior Living in New Mexico to Wrap Up in June

June is the target month for workers to put the finishing touches on a new Welbrook Senior Living transitional rehabilitation center in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

The 50-bed community will provide patients with short-term therapy and care following discharge from local hospitals, Welbrook said in a press release. The company partnered with National Healthcare Development, Northstar Commercial Partners, Lantz-Boggio Architects and Catamount Constructors to site, fund, design and build the project.

Assisted Living and Memory Care Expansion Underway in Massachusetts

Seniors in West Yarmouth, Massachusetts, recently got a preview of a newly expanded assisted living and memory care community that’s months from opening.

The expansion, dubbed the Mill Hill Residence, is a new addition to the Maplewood at Mayflower Place, a senior living community. When it opens this August, the new residence will come with 75 units for people with Alzheimer’s and other dementia disorders, CapeCod.com reports. It will also have an open kitchen and dining venues, a bistro, a wellness center, a spa and salon, libraries and fireplaces.

LCB Senior Living Breaks Ground on Massachusetts Community

Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, is getting a new community from LCB Senior Living.

Workers recently broke ground on the The Residence at Orchard Grove, a new community from LCB, according to the Community Advocate.

The community is due to open in the fall, it was reported.

Assisted Living Community from Medical Development Corporation Coming to South Carolina

Medical Development Corporation of Atlanta is close to opening a new assisted living community with luxury amenities in Okatie, South Carolina.

The new community, Canterfield of Bluffton, is slated to open in May, reports the Jasper County Sun Times.  The community will have a three-story assisted living building with apartments and memory care units with access to a theater, library, barber and beauty salon, exercise room, arts and crafts room, fitness room and rehabilitation suite.

Assisted Living Cottages Unveiled in Michigan

Resthaven, a nonprofit senior living provider, is now showing off two new cottages that can hold up to 24 people at its community in Holland, Michigan.

The new cottages come equipped with private rooms and bathrooms, living rooms, and a community kitchen, Resthaven told news publication MLive. The new cottages cost about $2 million and are part of a $5 million expansion. The nonprofit raised about 70% of that money through an online fundraising campaign.

Texas Senior Living Community to Hold Grand Opening Party

The Legacy, a “concierge senior living” community in Lubbock Texas, will hold a celebration to mark its grand opening on May 10, the company announced on the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.

The planned party will include live entertainment and tours led by senior living experts, a press release noted.

Masonicare Unveils New Senior Living Project in Connecticut

A new $45 million senior living project called the Masonicare at Mystic celebrated its grand opening last week.

The new resort-style assisted living and memory care facility is located in Mystic, Connecticut, and includes a bar and bistro, a fitness room, and an indoor heated saltwater pool, theday.com reports.
