K4Connect Announce New Chief Financial Officer

A technology company that serves older adults and people living with disabilities, K4Connect, has hired former financial executive Ellen Grantham as its new chief financial officer (CFO).

Grantham brings more than 15 years of experience in financial services and business in various industries for businesses large and small. In her new role, she will be responsible for managing all financial operations, enabling the company to continue to drive growth and market leadership, according to a press release.

Before joining the K4Connect team, Grantham was the CFO of WebAssign, a provider of online instructional tools for faculty and students.

Grantham will work directly under K4Connect Co-founder and CEO F. Scott Moody.

Watercrest Senior Living Appoints Community Relations Director

Vero Beach, Florida-based Watercrest Senior Living Group has promoted Mariola Rodriguez to community relations director of Market Street Memory Care Residences.

Prior to her promotion, Rodriguez was memory care director at Watercrest Lake Nona Assisted Living and Memory Care Market Street Memory Care Residences in Viera, where she led memory care program startup and development

Rodriguez has a master’s degree in gerontology and is also a nationally certified Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia care trainer through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners.

EPOCH Senior Living Appoints New Executive Director

Massachusetts-based EPOCH Senior Living has named Jennifer Trout as the new executive director of Bridges by EPOCH at Hingham, located in Hingham, Massachusetts. The memory care community has 48 apartments for people with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

Before taking the role at EPOCH, Trout was an executive director of another senior living community on the South Shore in Massachusetts. She brings more than 15 years of experience in the senior care industry.

Erickson Living Community Promotes Director of Continuing Care

Michael Friedel, who joined Erickson Living’s community Eagle’s Trace in 2014 as its director of continuing care, has been promoted to associate executive director of the community.

Friedel started at Erickson in 2011 where he served as assisted living manager and then was promoted to director of continuing care at Oak Crest, a sister community of Eagle’s Trace.

Friedel is licensed as a nursing home administrator in Texas, Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania.

Wingate at Silver Lake Appoints New Sub-Acute Medical Director

Located in Kingston, Massachusetts, Wingate at Silver Lake, operated by Wingate Healthcare, has announced John Diorio as the new sub-acute medical director of the short-term rehab and long-term care facility. In the new role, Diorio will oversee all aspects of patient care and act as a liaison to ensure residents are treated with compassion and respect by staff members.

Diorio has 38 years of experience in the health care field, and, for the last 20 years, he has served as medical director for a number of nursing homes in the region. He also was an emergency room physician and operated his own private practice in the past.

Dominium Announces Promotion of Janice Dennie

Janice Dennie was a leasing specialist at apartment development and management company Dominium for The Landings at St. Anthony Village and was recently promoted to corporate leasing consultant.

In her new role, Dennie will be responsible for fielding calls and written communications for Dominium’s senior developments, as well as creating insider prospect lists and providing updates on development, open houses and application processes, according to a press release.

Dennie also previously worked at Bristol Village Apartments and Townhomes of Dominium.

Texas Erickson Living Community Hires Staff Physician

Dallas-based Highland Springs, an Erickson Living community, has hired Dr. Jill Studley, M.D., as its staff physician and member of its medical center team.

Dr. Studley brings 15 years of experience to Highland Springs. Prior to accepting her new role, Dr. Studley was in practice with the Baylor Scott and White Medical Center-Plano, where she specialized in geriatric and internal medicine. In addition, Dr. Studley is also the medical director for Baylor Elder Housecalls, affiliated with the Dallas Diagnostic Association of Plano.

In her new role, Dr. Studley will join Dr. Mary Norman, M.D., who is the medical director of Highland Springs. Both doctors have been named multiple times in the top doctors list published by D Magazine.
