Ground Breaking Scheduled for Community in Washington

Construction is set to begin on Wesley Homes Bradley Park later this month. Located in Puyallup, Washington, the community will be for those 62 and older.

The community will be built on a 14-acre plot of land and will be the first faith-based nonprofit continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in the area.

Wesley Homes Bradley Park will include 32 brownstone apartments ranging in size from 1,000 to 1,800 square feet. There will also be a five-story lodge with 99 independent apartments ranging from 750 to 1,600 square feet, as well as 17 private memory care units.

There will also be 50 “catered living” apartments, which will include three meals per day, laundry services and other accommodations such as home health care.

Absher Construction will be building the CCRC and InSite Architects will be designing it. The project is expected to take 16-18 months once ground will be broken on Feb. 28.

North Carolina Senior Community to Begin Construction Late 2017

A new 534,000-square-foot continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Charlotte, North Carolina is planned to break ground later this year.

St. Margaret at Trevi Village is being designed by Three: Living Architecture by fusing modern senior living design with traditional Italian aesthetics.

The project is expected to be complete by November 2019.

Ground Broken On Three Communities in Florida

Autumn Senior Living has broken ground on three new I-Lite assisted living and memory care communities. The three communities in Florida will have space for 400 senior residences in total.

Residents who move into Autumn’s I-Lite communities will essentially be moving into residences and have the option to live as independently as they would like. As they age however, services for assisted living and memory care can be brought to them.

There will be communities in Sarasota, Brandon and Westchase, Florida, and are planned to be completed in 2018.

Senior Community Breaks Ground in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida

In Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, The Clarity Point assisted living and memory care community has broken ground. The community will have space for 265 residents and will be 234,491 square feet.

The community, which will consist of two four-story buildings, will have 161 beds dedicated to assisted living and 95 beds for residents Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

Amenities include a courtyard, pool, poolside cafe, salon, media room, woodworking shop, fitness center, medical exam room and an ice cream parlor.

Construction is being done by Kast Construction and Leo A Daly is the architect.

Assisted Living and Memory Care Community Complete in South Carolina

Located in Elgin, South Carolina, Blake at Woodcreek Farms is complete. The 88,000 square-foot building has 100 living units for assisted living as well as additional memory care suites.

The building is situated in the master planned community of Woodcreek Farms, which is a 2,300-acre community.

Blake at Woodcreek Farms is the first of three sister facilities to be completed in South Carolina. Construction is currently underway at the second building, Blake at Edgewater.

The construction of Blake at Woodcreek Farms began in January 2015 by Frampton Construction. The community is managed by Blake Management Group.

Memory Care Community To Open Next Week in Phoenix

Located in Phoenix, The Pearl at Five Forks is set to open to its first residents Feb. 13. Owned and operated by Phoenix Senior Living, the community will specialize in memory care.

There are 48 apartments that will allow seniors with Alzheimer’s and other memory impairments to live independently in a safe environment.

The community will have programs designed to coincide with the National Wellness Institute’s six dimensions of wellness, which include emotional, physical, cognitive, occupational and spiritual wellness.

Merrill Gardens Opens Two Communities 

Merrill Gardens is expanding with two new communities. The first, Merrill Gardens at Ballard, is located in Seattle, Washington, and features 103 private apartments for assisted living and memory care. Amenities include a roof top deck, large main living area and open kitchen.

The second community, Merrill Gardens at Woodstock in Woodstock, Georgia, will have 130 private apartments for assisted living and memory care.

Amenities at Merrill Gardens at Woodstock include a landscaped courtyard, paved walking paths, a theater, wine bar and numerous common areas. Each unit features a full kitchen and washer and dryer.
