Civitas Community Planned in Texas

Civitas Senior Living is developing a new senior living community for people ages 55 and up, located in Azle, Texas. The community will be Civitas’ fourth community in Tarrant County and its 25th location, nationwide.

Legacy Oaks at Azle will have 123 independent living apartments and 77 assisted living and memory care apartment homes.

Amenities will include landscaped courtyards, a community pool, outdoor entertainment spaces for social gathering and events, on-campus amphitheater, a movie theater, a dog park and dog wash for pet owners, a clubhouse and game/activity room and contemporary dining facilities like an outdoor patio, private dining and bistro.

Mainstreet Granted Approval For New Indiana SNF

Located in Whitestown, Indiana, a $10 million skilled nursing facility has been approved in an agreement with Mainstreet and the Whitestown Town Council.

The development will include eight-buildings on 10.5 acres of land and will have 96 beds in total.

Construction on the project is slated to begin in June and completion could be achieved as early as spring or summer of 2018.

Construction Underway on $41 Million CCRC

The first urban continuing care retirement community (CCRC) located in the state of New York is underway. Canterbury Woods at Gates Circle is located in downtown Buffalo, New York and is anticipated to be complete in about 10 months.

The CCRC will have 53 units and there are already 130 people on the priority reservation list.

Amenities will include a creative arts studio, wellness center, a bistro, penthouse lounge and high-speed internet throughout the campus.

Canterbury Woods at Gates Circle is owned and operated by Canterbury Woods, who also owns a sister community, Canterbury Woods Williamsville.

New PinPoint Senior Living Community Under Construction in Texas

Located in El Paso, Texas, The Legacy at Cimarron is underway and is expected to open in March 2017.

The community will fall under the category of “concierge living”, which is described as personalized home amenities and programming that improves physical, mental and emotional well being. In addition to concierge living, the community will offer memory care.

The Legacy at Cimarron will have 86 units that will range from $3,295 to $4,895 per month for one-bedroom units and $4,695 to $5,295 per month for two-bedroom units.

Amenities will include a beauty shop, two courtyards, a theater, a private dining room with wait staff, a lounge and a mail room.

The Legacy at Cimarron is owned and operated by PinPoint Senior Living.

Developer Completes First Two Senior Living Projects

Prescient Co., a homebuilder based in Colorado has completed its first two projects in the senior living market.

The first was MorningStar at Ridgegate, which is owned by MorningStar Senior Living. The community, located in Lonetree, Colorado, includes one-story, three-story and five-story connected wings that include 124 independent living units, 71 assisted living units and 29 memory care units.

MorningStar at Ridgegate was designed by Lantz Boggio Architects and was built by Haselden Construction.

The second project is located in Stuart, Florida and is owned by Providence One Partners LLC. Providence Living at Stuart is a 108,000-square foot community that features 68 assisted living units and 32 memory care suites throughout a two-story building.

The project was designed by Baker Barrios and was constructed by F.M. Harvey Construction.

Senior Community Opens in Minnesota

The Henderson, located in Shakopee, Minnesota, is now open.

The 55 and up community has 51 units of both independent and assisted living. Units range in size from studio apartments at 551 square feet to three-bedroom apartments at 1,332 square feet.

Apartments range in rent from $720 to $1,560 per month. Other amenities residents will be able to enjoy include a community room, library, guest suite, indoor parking garage, hair salon and exercise room.

Scott County Community Development Association owns the building and Great Lakes Management manages it. The community is anticipated to be at capacity in the coming months.
