Mainstreet Hires Green House Founder Bill Thomas

Mainstreet, a national investment company, has hired Dr. Bill Thomas as its new director of innovative health care. Thomas is the creator of The Green House, a model of care that focuses on a smaller scale of residents. He is a Harvard-Trained geriatrician and internationally recognized expert on aging.

Lancaster Pollard Housing Group Expands to Southeast With Promotion of Padam Singh

Padam Singh has been promoted to vice president of Lancaster Pollard’s southeast region in the company’s latest expansion within its housing group. Singh will be responsible for clients in the southeast with an emphasis on Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Singh previously was an associate with the firm where he provided support on a range of bond transactions and mortgage loans for construction and refinance projects totaling approximately $180 million. He has experience with various financing programs, including FHA, USDA, Fannie Mae and low-income housing tax credits (LIHTCS) and municipal finance.

Prior to joining Lancaster Pollard, Singh served as the director of urban design and planning with HNTB for the Carolinas where he authored multiple planning and policy documents addressing multi-disciplinary issues of housing, design, land-use planning, economic development, environment and accessibility.

Lilly Hummel Joins NCAL as Senior Director of Policy

The National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) has named Lilly Hummel its senior director of policy. In this role, she is responsible for developing and promoting effective assisted living policies to advance the association’s priorities and support its member communities and state affiliates.

Previously, Hummel was a senior manager with Avalere Health, where she advised post-acute care and hospice providers, health systems and provider associations on how to navigate payment and delivery reforms such as accountable care organizations and bundled payments. She provided market analyses and assisted clients to understand trends and their strategic opportunities amid changing market dynamics and regulatory or legislative updates.

Prior to joining Avalere, Hummel was an analyst with the Government Accountability Office, as well as a program assistant with the Wisconsin Legislative Council and the Population Health Institute.

Chatsworth at PGA National Names Lisa Izquierdo as Director of Continuing Care

Chatsworth at PGA National, the continuing care neighborhood associated with one of Erickson Living’s retirement communities, Devonshire at PGA National, has named Lisa Izquierdo as director of continuing care.

Izquierdo has more than 17 years of leadership expertise in the health care industry and started her new position at the Palm Beach Gardens, Florida-based community on January 11.

Prior to joining Chatsworth, she was most recently the interim executive director and executive director at The Village on High Ride in West Palm Beach. She has also served as the executive director for Consulate Healthcare Management in West Palm Beach and Pompano Beach. Her other positions have included director of nursing services at John Know Village Health Center in Pompano Beach, as well as nursing home administrator and director of nursing services for HCR Manor Care in Boca Raton and Lauderhill.

Eli Ayoub Named Director of Dining Services at Greenspring

Greenspring, one of 18 continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs) managed by Erickson Living that is located in Springfield, Virginia, has named Eli Ayoub as director of dining services.

Ayoub bring nearly 25 years of leadership in hospitality and dining operations experience and more than a decade of experience serving the senior living industry. He began his new role Jan. 4, 2016. In his new role, Ayoub will oversee the culinary operations for five dining venues at the community, as well as dining operations at Greenspring’s continuing care neighborhood.

Prior to joining Greenspring, Ayoub served as director of hospitality with Colington Life Care in Mitchellville, Maryland. In that role, he oversaw the community’s comprehensive food and beverage operations with a focus on employee development, menu development and nutrition. He also worked for Sunrise Senior Living as the director of dining service throughout D.C., Maryland and Virginia. He has experience as the director of residents/dining services for Brookdale Senior Living in Silver Spring, Maryland and Pompano Beach, Florida, and has worked for several private clubs locally.

Healthways Names Two New Executive Hires

Healthways, an online wellness program company based in Nashville, has hired Sean Slovenski, CEO of Intel-GE Care Innovations, as president of population health services and Steve Schwartz, former vice president of business development and strategy of 23andMe, as their new senior vice president of strategy and corporate development.

Kisco Senior Living Appoints New Chief Financial Officer 

Kisco Senior Living, a Carlsbad, California-based senior living provider with 21 communities in seven states, has named J. Mark Dressel as chief financial officer. In his new role, Dressel will oversee the financial operations of all 21 communities across the country.

Dressel brings more than 25 years of financial experience to his new role, having served in financial leadership positions of multi-site operations for customer centric, marquis organizations including The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. Most recently, Dressel served as CFO and concurrently as COO for Novare Group, a real estate and development-focused holding company.

Willow Valley Living Appoints New COO 

Willow Valley Living, the development and management company for Willow Valley Communities, has hired David Loop as its new COO. Willow Valley Communities is a CCRC across two campuses in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

David Haversack, the former COO of Willow Valley Living, will retire at the end of January after 11 years.

Loop has extensive experience with senior living facilities across the country. He comes to the Willow Valley from Chicago, where he led The Garlands of Barrington, a CCRC.
