CCRCs Offering “Try Before You Buy” Lifestyle Samplers

In an effort to attract more retirees, one particular senior housing community is offering potential guests complimentary overnight stays as a way of test-driving the facility before making a decision.

Florida’s East Ridge at Cutler Bay is a Continuing Care Retirement Facility (CCRC) that caters to a number of seniors as the only South Florida life care community which hosts what is called a “Mini-Retirement Sampler,” according to the Kendall Gazette.

The free-of-charge overnight stay is not only limited to one night. Singles and couples are encouraged to spend the weekend—three days, two nights—as a way of experiencing East Ridge’s community experience.

With a golf cart as the primary means of travel the grounds’ 76 acres, potential residents are allowed to tour the community’s grounds, which include amenities such as a fitness and wellness center, swimming pool, and golf putting area for those looking to retire on the green.

Celebrating over 50 years in the Miami-Dade County, the Kendall Gazette notes East Ridge at Cutler Bay as the area’s only life care community that incorporates eight elements of wellness: social, vocational, intellectual, spiritual, physical, emotional, environmental and health services.
