LCS Development, a Des Moines, Iowa-based LCS company, is expanding its services to owners and managers of retirement communities and senior living projects outside of the network of LCS-related communities.
The development company previously only provided its design, master planning, repositioning, and project management services to continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs) or senior living communities owned or managed by Life Care Services or CRSA, both LCS companies.
Now, its services will be available to third-party owners and sponsors.
“We now provide development services to sponsors and owners who wish to develop new CCRC campuses,” said Kent Larson, senior vice president and director of development, citing a recent agreement with Emerald Communities of Seattle, WA to develop a second campus in the Gig Harbor area.
The ability to expand its services came in part from a recent merger of LCS Development and CRSA Development, allowing the company to combine resources and expand services beyond its existing markets.
Additionally, LCS Development is developing prototypes for assisted living/memory care, independent living/assisted living/memory care and freestanding memory care projects for senior living rental projects.
