They were sued by the government in 2004, but continued pushing Medicare paid for power wheelchairs on people, while they made nearly 400% profit. Power wheelchairs and other mobility aids are wonderful for people who need them. But The Scooter Store (who doesn't even sell scooters by the way because there isn't a profit in that) is committing a lot of Medicare fraud in our country. I'd like to see more stories on that.
