Care Investment Trust Inc. Announces Stockholder Approval of Plan of Liquidation

Care Investment Trust Inc. (NYSE: CRE) ("Care" or the "Company"), a real estate investment and finance company formed to invest in healthcare-related real estate and commercial mortgage debt, announced on Thursday that its Plan of Liquidation (the "Plan"), previously approved by the Company’s Board of Directors on December 10, 2009, was approved by its stockholders at a special meeting called for that purpose.  The approval of the plan required a majority vote and holders of approximately 11.85 million of the outstanding shares, representing 58.6% of the shares outstanding and 99.8% of the votes cast, voted to approve the Plan.
