Presbyterian Of Michigan Celebrates 6th Detroit Area Senior Living Community

Presbyterian Villages of Michigan (PVM) and Canterbury Healthcare, Inc., celebrated the opening of The Village of St. Martha’s at the end of the September 2009.   With the grand opening, Presbyterian Villages of Michigan has completed six senior living communities in the Detroit area since 1997.  The Village of St. Martha’s, which sits on 16 acres, offers 45 apartment units with, emergency call system, individual heating/cooling system, fully equipped kitchen, community room, library/computer room, cable access, and barrier free apartments and is adjacent to the resting place for Henry and Clara Ford.  The newly constructed, three-story building at the Village of St. Martha’s was made possible through a $5.4 million grant awarded by the U.S. Development of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
