Earlier this week on December 1st, two more Sunwest management facilities filed for chapter 13 bankruptcy protection in Portland and another facility located in Dallas, Texas filed as well bring the total number of facilities that have filed for bankruptcy to over a dozen locations.  The company has been struggling to pay its vendors for much of the year at its facilities due to the constraints in the credit markets and the companies inability to refinance its operating lines of credit.  The company, founded in 1991, operates over 250 senior living communities across the United States.
